My full review of 4 airline brands in Vietnam

Currently, there are four airlines in Vietnam operating international and domestic flights. So do you know anything about those airlines? I will give a full review below for you to refer to!

 

Airlines in Vietnam Overall

There are currently 4 domestic airlines in Vietnam, including Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways. Forty-nine domestic routes are at major airports such as Saigon, Hanoi, Nha Trang, Da Lat. Moreover, many flights to Asia, Europe, America, Australia, Africa, and so on are open every day. 

Each airline will have its own advantages and disadvantages regarding service quality, seat class, discounts, and customer promotions. However, in general, the criteria of the airlines in Vietnam are to bring safe flights with the cheapest fares.

Vietnam Airlines

Vietnam Airlines is Vietnam's national airline of 4-star standards. Many customers highly appreciate it for the prestige and quality service.

Established in 1956, Vietnam Airlines had its first flight in September 1956. The company is always considered as a reliable companion of customers.

Currently, the airline is operating five extremely modern aircraft brands such as Boeing 787, Airbus A321, Airbus A330, and Airbus A350. Vietnam Airline has flights to all regions of the country, including Quang Ninh, Van Don, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Da Nang, Chu Lai, Quy Nhon, Hue, Buon Me Thuot, Pleiku, Con Dao, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Tuy Hoa, Saigon, Can Tho, Ca Mau.

International routes to Seoul, Bangkok, Manila, Tokyo, Singapore, Moscow, Amsterdam, and New York parallel domestic flights. 

The ticket classes you can choose at Vietnam Airlines are Economy Class, Premium Economy, and Business Class.

 

Vietnam Airlines Advantage: Professional quality service with many utilities.

Vietnam Airlines Disadvantage: Ticket prices are pretty high.

Vietjet Air 

Established in 2007, it is an airline specializing in providing low-cost airline tickets to customers. Currently, the airline is operating many flights to all provinces in the country as well as internationally. The number of flights per day is vast, and the number of passengers is quite large.

The two aircraft lines A320 and A321, are two modern lines, equipped with state-of-the-art techniques that the airline is exploiting.

Vietjet Air (VJ) has won many significant awards at home and abroad, such as Top 500 Brands in Asia 2016, Best Low-Cost Airline in Asia 2015. Especially for many consecutive years, Vietjet Air has been recognized as the best place to work.

The ticket classes that Vietjet Air offers are: The highest ticket is Skyboss ticket (business class ticket), Eco (average class ticket), and the cheapest ticket class Promo (economy class ticket).

 

Vietjet Air's Advantage: There are many desirable promotions with the top cheap fares in Vietnam.

Vietjet Air's Disadvantage: Some flights are often delayed.

Jetstar Pacific Airlines

Jetstar Pacific Airlines was established on June 15, 1991. It is the pioneer airline specializing in providing cheap air tickets in the market. The airline belongs to the Vietnam Airlines group.

The aircraft lines that Jetstar Pacific owns are also very modern, including Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Boeing B737-400, Airbus A321, Airbus A320, Bombardier.

Jetstar Pacific is operating a lot of domestic and international flights to major airports. Every week, there will be about 5000 flights taking off with a large number of customers. Domestic flights can be mentioned as Hai Phong, Hanoi, Hue, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City. Also, international flights to airports are available in Taiwan, the Philippines, Macau, Cambodia, China, Korea, Australia, etc.

The airline's seat class includes Business class (business), Starter Max class (optimal), and Starter Plus class (flexible).

 

Jetstar Pacific Airlines Advantage: The tickets are pretty cheap.

Jetstar Pacific Airlines Disadvantage: Not many flights, and sometimes flights get canceled or delayed.

Bamboo Airways

It is a new airline established in 2017 under the management of FLC Group in Vietnam. The first flight took off on October 10, 2018. This airline has also operated many domestic flights and is expected to open many international routes.

The airline's headquarters is not located at Noi Bai airport of Hanoi or Tan Son Nhat of Saigon but Phu Cat airport of Binh Dinh province. Currently, the airline's aircraft are operating are also very modern, such as Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Airbus A321Neo.

Bamboo Airways' ticket airlines include Business Class, First Class, Flexible Economy Class, and Economy Class.

 

Bamboo Airways Advantage: Many new planes, many attractive combo packages, and among the airlines in Vietnam, Bamboo Airways has the highest punctuality index.

Bamboo Airways Disadvantage: Many flight routes have not been exploited yet.
